About me

I write songs to keep me sane, lead worship wherever I’m asked and have the privilege to be a mom to 3 girls (aged 8, and twins who are 7) who have justed started playing piano and singing. I stay in Johannesburg, South Africa, with my husband, 3 girls and 3 pet rats (not mine!).

The idea for this blog started in Lockdown 2020 when I realised that writing and recording music is a passion I want to pursue more actively again now that my kids are past the toddler years. I also love exploring all the different songwriting methods and co-writing is a recent development. My aim is to write one song a week and post it here. It may be just an idea or it may be the completion of a previous idea or even a full song if I’m lucky. It could be English, Afrikaans, rock, pop or a children’s song. You never know what could be brewing in my mind. The only rule is to have fun! I hope you will join me on this journey and find something that inspires you to also follow your creativity however it finds expression.
